Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp (/æ̝ms/ /xɑp/ [intestine] [light]) is a subtropical City located in the Mïpirudnoplu Principality of the Tano.
The name Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp is derived from the Sylvin language, as Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp was founded by Rrimvesh, who was culturaly Gnoll.
Climate
Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp has a yearly average temperature of 9°C (48°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cold 3°C (37°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 16°C (60°F). Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp receives an average of 215 cm/y (84 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp covers an area of nearly 49 km2 (19 mi2), and an average elevation of 950 m (3116 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp was founded durring the late 13th century in fall of the year 1195, by Rrimvesh. The establishment of Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.
Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp is buildings are built arround a single crampt cobblestone mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the city a over all circular shape. The city is protected by a renforced stone fence which sits atop earthwork defences, for some of the best inexpencive defences a city of Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp's size could have. Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp's well-designed, yet cheep has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.
A quick look in any direction shows Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp is filled with vices. There are many taverns, brothels are advertising their services on the streets, cardsharks are plying their illicit trade within public squairs, and every shop has at least three signs advertising various sales on goods. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this city live.

Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the City. Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp's grid is powered by hydrogalvanic generators.
Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp's old civil lighting system was converted to Galvanic Lamps recently, and expanded to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp's natural decorations nor waterways.

Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
Two or more groups of citizens within Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp hate each other. Their neighbors or the local law have kept things from too-overt violence, but members of the groups will constantly interfere with their rivals and cause whatever misery they can get away with. This hate may spring from recent events, or it may be an inherited spite from old wrongs.
Slæ̈rn äms-ghäp's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.
